Bhutapureeswarar
Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located in Sriperumpudur, Chennai
suburb in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. The temple is near the Sriperumpudur
bus terminus. Main Deity is called as Bhutapureeswarar and Divine Mother Shakti
as Soundaravalli Ambal.
There are also shrines for Brahma, Mahavishnu, Dakshinamurthy,
Natarajar, Bhairavar, Devi Durgai Amman, Vinayagar, Maha Ganapati, Valli
Devasena Subramaniar, Bhakta Anjaneyar, Chandikeswarar and Navagrahas. This is
the Ancient temple.
People believe that, they get rid of all their problems,
after praying to this god. "Pradosham Pooja" in this Temple is famous
among the Sriperumpudur region. The main festivals are Pavithrotsavam &
Tamil New Year which is also most famous among the Sriperumpudur region.
