Ottiampakkam Otteeswarar Temple, Kanchipuram
Otteeswarar Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located at Ottiampakkam in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. Presiding Deity is called as Otteeswarar and Mother is called as Mangalambikai.  The Temple history is not known. Lord Otteeswarar is a giant linga with all charm. Goddess Mangalambikai faces south in standing posture and all parivara Devathas are available in this Temple. This Temple has a Kubera lingam facing south.















This temple is located very near to the Ottiampakkam bus terminus. Baanam is little big. Moolavar vimanam is Gajabrushta type. In koshtam, Narthana Vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Lingothbhavar, Brahma and Durgai are located. Sannadhi for Ganapathy, Valli Devasena Sametha Siva Subramaniyar, Nagars, Kubera Lingam, Kaalabairavar and Navagrahas (written as Nava Thevars) are located in this Temple. Regular poojas are conducted. No Tamil inscriptions are found to assess the age of the temple. Temple Pond is maintained neatly.












Connectivity
Ottiampakkam is a small village now well connected with OMR, Medavakkam and Siruseri. This temple is close to the Thalambur four way junctions which cross the OMR - Thalambur Road and Siruseri - Medavakkam road. The temple can be reached via Medavakkam and Sithalapakkam. Town bus of the 51 series is also available and passes through Velachery.
