Moolanatha Swamy Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located in Sambavarvadakarai, a Panchayat town  in Thirunelveli in the Indian state of Tamilnadu. Sambavar Vadakarai was part of Kingdom of Travancore before 1956. The name of this place refers to the caste named Sambavar who were the ancient priests of lord Shiva.
