Seetharkundu Viewpoint, Nelliyampathy
Seetharkundu Viewpoint is
located at a distance of around 8 km from Nelliyampathy. It is believed that
Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman and Goddess Sita rested here during their exile. The
nearby Seetharkundu Waterfall, flanked by paddy fields, falls from a height of
about 100 ft.This place is one of the organic farms engaged in cultivating
coffee and tea. The site can be reached through buses from Palakkad via
Nelliyampathy.
The viewpoint is
synonymous to some more tantalizing visuals that will leave you completely
spell bind. Adorned with Seetharkundu Waterfall falling from an altitude of 100
ft and flanked by paddy fields, you will also find the aroma of coffee in the
air from coffee fields as well as tea plantations. Buses are easily available
from Palakkad till Seetharkundu Viewpoint.
You need to walk around a
kilometer to reach the view point. Walk itself is amazing because on one side
it is a steep drop.
