Valeeswarar Temple, Thiruparkadal, Vellore
Valeeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva located at Thiruparkadal Village in Vellore District of Tamilnadu.
This is a small east facing temple with entrance from south. Presiding
Deity is called as Valeeswarar and is facing east. Mother is called as Niraivalaiyambigai
and is facing south. Shrines for Ganesha, Muruga with consorts, Dakshinamurthy,
Vishnu, Brahma, Durga, Navagraha and Nalwar can be seen in this temple.
Thiruparkadal
is on the Chennai – Vellore (Bangalore) highway, beyond Thiruputkuzhi, about 22
kms from Thiruputkuzhi, on the left side of Highways while going from Chennai,
about 2 kms from the highways at the Kaveripakkam junction. Two beautiful
Vaishnavite temples are present side by side. It is said that this place can be
considered to be the 107th Divyadesam.
