Bhoologanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thirumanagalam Village near Thirumanancheri in Mayiladuthurai Taluk in Mayiladuthurai District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding deity is called as Bhoologanathar / Vikrama Chozheeswarar and Mother is called as Bhoologanayagi. The Temple is situated on the northern banks of Vikraman River.

History

The Temple was built in 1128 CE by Vikrama Chola. The place was called as Rajaraja Thirumangalam and Vikrama Chozha Thirumangalam in the inscriptions. The Temple was called as Vikrama Chozheeswaram and Lord was called as Vikrama Chozheeswarar as per the inscription in the temple.
