Varadharaja Perumal Temple,

Varadharaja Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Thiruvilanagar village near Mayiladuthurai Town in Tharangampadi Taluk in Mayiladuthurai District of Tamil Nadu. The Temple is believed to be built in 11th century CE.
Legends
As per legend, Sage Agastya was blessed with the divine darshan of Lord Vishnu at this temple.
The Temple
This Temple is facing towards east with an entrance arch and has single prakaram. The sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, antrala, maha mandapam and mukha mandapam. Presiding Deity is called as Varadharaja Perumal and is facing east. He is enshrined in the sanctum along with his consorts Neeladevi and Bhoodevi in standing posture.
Utsava idols of Varadaraja Perumal and Ubhaya Nachiyar can be seen in the sanctum. Mother is called as Perundevi Thayar. She is housed in a separate east facing shrine. Her shrine is situated to the right side of the sanctum. There are shrines for Bala Anjaneyar and Srinivasa Perumal in the temple premises. Swayambhu Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is situated near to this Temple.
