Anjaneya Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman located at Nanganallur, a well-known locality in Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Viswaroopa Anjaneyar or Aadhi Vyadhihara Bhaktha Anjaneyar. The presiding deity of this Nanganallur Anjaneyar Temple was believed to be installed in the year 1989 and consecrated in the year 1995. The principal idol of Hanuman is 32 feet tall and sculpted from a single piece of granite, which the second tallest Hanuman after Panchavadi near Puducherry. This is one of the famous Anjaneya Temple within the City limits.

History
As per the known historical information Tanjore Big temple was constructed by placing the idol first and then the temple was built. Nanganallur Anjaneya temple was constructed in that same fashion as first the idol was incarnated and then the entire temple complex was constructed.  Sri Maruti Bhakta Samajan trust, consisting of people with high spiritual beliefs, wished for this temple. with the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swami and Sri Kanchi Paramacharya entrenched the 32-foot idol of Sri Anjaneyar in 1989 and consecrated in 1995.

The temple remains open from morning 05.00 AM to 12.00 PM and in the evening from 04.30 PM to 09.00 PM.
Festivals
Ramanavami, Pavitrotsavam, Krishna Jayanthi, Navarathri Utsavam, and Hanumanth Jayanthi are the festivals celebrated here with much fanfare.
Prayers
Devotees believe that if you pray to Hanuman, there will be immediate alleviation from suffering. This Anjaneya is believed to have special powers and is considered to be a healer.
