Nayanmars, located in Kannanthangudi Village near Thiruthuraipoondi Town in
Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk in Thiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. This Temple is
considered as Avathara Sthalam of Arivattaya Nayanar, one of the 63 Nayanmars.
The Temple is situated very close to Thandalacherry NeenerinatharTemple, a Devaram Paadal Petra Sthalam. The place was called as
Kanamangalam during ancient times.
