Vadivazhagiya Nambi Perumal Temple, (Sundararaja
Perumal Temple), Anbil – Connectivity
The
temple is situated on the North shore (Vadakarai) of Kollidam River. Anbil is
located at about 30 Kms from Trichy, 22 Kms from Srirangam, 8 Kms from Lalgudi
and 27 Kms from Samayapuram.
By Road:
Buses
are available from Trichy Chathiram and Lalgudi bus stands. One has to get
down at Keelanbil bus stop to reach the temple. From Chathiram bus stand in
Trichy, one can take a bus to Lalgudi and then another bus from Lalgudi to
Anbil (about 8 kms). There is a direct bus (Route No. 93) every hour to Anbil
from Chatiram bus stand. In centuries gone by, devotees used to walk
across the Coloroon from Koviladi Divya Desam, a distance of 2 kms. One can
also take a car and visit Uthamar Koil, Thiruvellarai and Anbil Divya Desams in
one go and finish all three temples in half a day.
By Train:

Railway Station is located at Lalgudi (9 Kms). Major Railway Station located
nearby Anbil is Trichy Railway Station. Trichy Railway station is well
connected with all major railway stations in Tamilnadu and India and has plenty
of express and passenger trains from Chennai, Madurai, and Tirunelveli etc.

Airport is located at Trichy (35 Kms). Trichy City has Airport with domestic
and international flights from Chennai, Bangalore, Colombo, Sharjah, Singapore
etc.
