St. Sebastian Church, Madathattuvilai, Kanyakumari

Sebastian Church is located at Madathattuvilai, a village under Villukuri Panchayat in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu. The
Church is situated right in the center of the village and an important social
center that plays a very important role in the lives of the people in the
village. St. Sebastian Church Festival lasts for ten days and draws crowds from
surrounding areas for the music, drama and fireworks that add color to this
religious event.

festival dates are based on the St. Sebastian Feast (January 20); i.e. January
20 is between the 3rd day to 8th day of the festival. The Church is located at
about 18 Kms from Suchindrum, 6 Kms from Thuckalay, 13 Kms from Colachel, 11
Kms from Nagercoil, 5 Kms from Eraniel, 37 Kms from Kanyakumari and 65 Kms from
Thiruvananthapuram. Nearest Railway Station is located at Eraniel and Nearest
Airport is located at Thiruvananthapuram.
