Anna Kamakshi Amman Temple, Srirangam, Trichy
Anna Kamakshi Amman Temple is
a Hindu Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvathy located in Srirangam in Trichy
District of Tamilnadu. It is one of the
historical and legendary temples in Srirangam. The temple came into prominence
in the middle of the final decade of the previous millennium and was quoted and
rated highly by his holiness Late Chandrasekara swamigal of Kanchi Mutt. The
presiding deity is Anna Kamakshi
Amman, considered by many as a replica of Akilandeswari Amman.
The temple also has separate shrines for Dhakshinamoorthy,
Mahalakshmi, Durgai Amman, Navagrahas and a tree devoted to serpentine god. The
Temple is located at about 250 meters from Devi Theatre Bus Stop, 600 meters
from Srirangam Railway Station, 1 Km from Srirangam Ranganatha Swamy Temple, 4
Kms from Trichy Chatram Bus Stand, 9 Kms from Trichy Central Bus Stand, 9 Kms
