Annamalaiyar Temple – Greenland Ashram
Greenland Ashram was started by the devotees Sathya Sai
Baba. It will be open to all seekers of truth, pilgrims, travelers, and others,
without distinction of caste, creed, color or religion. A common Hall will
provide a space for the canteen and the reception, and can eventually be used
for meetings, Satsang etc. The Meditation Hall (Mandir) will be spacious enough
for yoga groups, meditation, bhajans etc.
Greenland will be open daily and will follow the
discipline of an ashram in India with its regular spiritual practices.
Activities
The Eashwaramma Hall, the Mandir, is suitable for any
kind of spiritual activities and Sadhanas. Meditations in the early
morning/evening and Bhajans are a regular activity in the ashram. In Some
occasions, puja, Veda chanting, spiritual talks or cultural programs can be a
part of the activities.
Greenland is open to any groups or individuals,
spiritual seekers who intend to discover the truth of their inner being. The Eashwaramma
hall is at the disposal of groups or individuals for their satsangs, yoga
classes, spiritual teachings, meditation and all devotional activities.
As the heart of Greenland, The Eashwaramma hall is
dedicated to Sathya Sai Baba, Ramana Maharshi and Shiva Jyothi Monna Siddhar.
Yoga
Meditation Hall
The Eashwaramma hall is a large hall of 2800 sq.ft where
regular Bhajans sessions, meditations are practiced. For groups, the hall can
be used for their spiritual practices.
Accommodations
Accommodations are available for groups up to 29 persons
and individuals.
It is a beautiful traditional Eco friendly Guest House.
Built with mud and stones, the rooms will naturally be cooled by the mud walls
and the filler slab roofing.
A large cottage with two independent rooms of 500 sq.ft,
a big cottage of 900 sq.ft with two rooms, a single cottage of 490 sq.ft will
be available for those who need privacy and comfort.
Adjoined to that, there will be two round buildings -
the sadhakas dwellings - with four spacious rooms for one or two persons. One
for the Gents & the other for the Ladies.
The Canteen
The canteen serves pure vegetarian food three times a
day. It can accommodate up to 40 people.
