Deivanayaka
Easwarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Ilambaiyangkottur
Village near Perambakkam in Thiruvallur District of Tamilnadu. The Temple is
also called as Arambeshwarar Temple. Presiding Deity is called as Arambeshwarar
/ Chandrasekharar / Deivanayakeswarar. Mother is called as Kanaka Kujambikai / Kodenthu
Mulaiyammai. The God cannot be touched even by the priest and called as
'Theendaa Thirumeni'.
Dakshina
Murti in Koshta of this temple is very popular; he is found in a different
posture with 'chin mudra'. He is called as 'Yoga Dakshina Murti'; the site is
also considered as one of Guru Sthalams. Theertham associated with this
temple are Chandra Theertham and Malligai Theertham. Sthala Vriksham is Mara
Malligai. This is one of the 276 Devara Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalams and 13th
Shiva Sthalam in Thondai Nadu. Sambandhar has revered the temple in his
verses in Devaram.

Opening Time
The Temple
remains open from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Visitors are advised to get in touch
with the priest in advance to ensure darshan. The Priest is residing inside the
temple compound and was very helpful.
Festivals
Guru
(Jupiter) transit days, Maha Shivarathri in the Tamil month of Masi
(February-March), Arudra Dharisanam in the Tamil month of Margazhi
(December-January) and Thirukarthigai in the Tamil month of Karthikai
(November-December) are the major festivals celebrated in this temple. Monthly
Pradosham is also observed.
