Vasudeva
Perumal Temple is a Hindu
temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Kadagambadi Village in Thiruvarur District of Tamilnadu. Presiding Deity is Vasudeva Perumal, flanked by his
consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi.
The
Temple
A Chola
king built this temple on the banks of Arasalaru, a tributary to Cauvery
installing Vasudeva Perumal with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. A
shrine was built for Bhavya Anjaneya. Anjaneya in the temple appears
as a definition to the quality of humility with one had folded and the other
(right) covering his mouth. The temple is in Kadagambadi also known as Saraboji
Rajapuram.

The
temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Festivals
Special
Homa pujas are performed on Moola star days. Masi Laksha Archana is conducted
in February-March. Hanumanth Jayanthi in December-January and Aani Tirumanjanam
are other festivals in the temple. Special Homa pujas are performed to Sri
Anjaneya each month on Moola star day. Laksharchana in the month of Masi
(February-March) is performed from Punarvasu star day to Moola star
day.
Prayers
Devotees
pray to Anjaneya for removal of obstacles in wedding proposals, illness,
stress, recovery from fall in business, for child boon, wisdom, health, bhakti,
courage, fame, service to Lord and humility. Devotees pray to him on Thursdays
and Saturdays placing at his feet their grievances. Devotees perform
special Tirumanjanam to Anjaneya and circumambulate the shrine 11 times.
