Parthasarathy Temple, Triplicane – Lord Rama Shrine
Lord
Rama grants darshan from a separate shrine with Mother Sita, Lakshmana,
Bharatha, Shatrugna and Anjaneya. This Shrine is located after Manikkadhavu on
the right-side passage leading to the main shrine. This shrine is built is
within the precincts of the main shrine of Sri Parthasarathy Swamy facing
South. Opposite to this shrine Sri Hanuman with Utsavar is installed in a
separate small shrine. Lord Rama is in standing posture facing south. It is said
that Maduman Maharishi did tapas at Brindaranya and desired to have darshan of
Lord Rama. Rama Navami is celebrated for nine days during April. Hanuman
Jayanti is celebrated with great fervor in these shrines.
