Amirthakadeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Adhamangalam Village in Thittagudi Taluk in Cuddalore District of Tamilnadu. Presiding Deity is called as Amirthakadeswarar and Mother is called as Amirthavalli / Abirami. One Kaala Pooja has been conducted in this Temple.



The Temple
The Temple covers an area of about 1 acres. The Temple is having an entrance arch facing east. Presiding Deity is called as Amirthakadeswarar. Lord is housed in sanctum and is facing east. Mother is called as Amirthavalli / Abirami. She is housed in separate shrine and is facing south. Sthala Vrikshams are Magizha Tree and Vilva Tree. Vilva tree is believed to be 100 years old.



There are shrines for Amirtha Valli Vinayagar, Ayyappan, Murugan, Chandikeswarar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Saneeswarar, Nandhi, Durga, Suryan, Bhairavar, Nandhi and Navagrahas. Since the temple has been dilapidated all the deities have been kept under a thatched roof. Now the temple is under construction. The deities have been carved very beautifully.

The Temple is located at about 2 Kms from Vaiyankudi, 5 Kms from Kumarai, 6 Kms from Avinangudi, 6 Kms from Avinangudi Bus Stop, 8 Kms from Thittagudi, 9 Kms from Thittagudi Vaidhyanatha Swamy Temple, 12 Kms from Pennadam, 12 Kms from Pennadam Railway Station, 26 Kms from Virudhachalam, 36 Kms from Srimushnam, 94 Kms from Cuddalore, 106 Kms from Trichy Airport and 228 Kms from Chennai Airport. Devotees has to travel on Thittagudi to Eraiyur Road. Once they Avinangudi Village, they have to take road leading in north direction. The Temple is situated at about 6 Kms after crossing Vaiyangudi Village. Nearest Railway Station is located at Pennadam and Nearest Airport is located at Trichy.
