Abhirameswarar Temple, Kanchipuram
Abhirameswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Kanchipuram City in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. The temple is situated very close to Sangupani Vinayakar Temple at big Kanchipuram (Periya Kancheepuram). This is one of the 108 Shiva temples mentioned in Kanchi Puranam. The Temple is also called as Abhiramesam.

The Temple
This temple is facing east and is situated on the opposite side of Ulagalantha Perumal Temple. The temple is very simple with sanctum, Arthamandapam and a Muhamandapam. Presiding Deity is called as Abhirameswarar and is facing east. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam. Lord is a Swayambhu Moorthy. Ganapathy and Muruga seated on his sacred peacock with his consorts Valli and Deivanai can be found at the entrance of the sanctum. Nagas can be found at the back side of the Temple.
