Chokkanathar Temple, Goodalur, Cuddalore
Chokkanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord
Shiva located at Goodalur Village near Thiruvattathurai in Thittagudi Taluk in
Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Chokkanathar and
Mother is called as Meenakshi. The Temple had its Kumbabhishekam in 1978 as per
the inscriptions available at the entrance of the Temple.
The Temple is located at about 2 Kms from Thiruvattathurai,
5 Kms from Pennadam Railway Station, 6 Kms from Pennadam, 10 Kms from
Thittagudi, 10 Kms from Thittagudi Bus Stand, 83 Kms from Cuddalore, 109 Kms
from Trichy Airport, 234 Kms from Chennai Airport and 256 Kms from Chennai. The
Temple is situated on Thittagudi to Pennadam Route.
