Adi Jagannatha Perumal Temple, Thirupullani – Literary Mention
The temple is revered in Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the 7th–9th century Vaishnava canon, by Thirumangai Alvar in one hymn. The temple is classified as a Divyadesam, one of the 108 Vishnu temples that are mentioned in the book. The temple is revered in 20 verses of Thirumangai Azhwar in his Periya Tirumozhi in Nalayira Divya Prabandham. The epic is also described by Kambar in his work Kamba Ramayanam.
Azhwar Mangalasasanams:
Sri Thirumangai Azhwar 1768-87, 2674(131) (Pasuram numbers as found in any standard Divya Prabandham book)
A sample Pasuram:

According to Sri Thirumangai Azhwar (aka Kaliyan) Thirupullani is a beautiful place surrounded by deposits of pearls, coral reefs, lotus ponds and fragrant groves. Those who master these holy verses by Kaliyan on the Lord of Thirupullani will find a place in the state of unadulterated joy (Vaikuntha).
This Divya Desam has also been glorified by other Acharyas like Sri Periya Nambi, Sri Ramanuja, Sri Bhattar, Swami Desikan, Sri Nanjeeyar, and Sri Manavala Mamuni.
