Gnanapureeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thiruvadisoolam Village near Chengalpattu Town in Chengalpattu Taluk in Chengalpattu District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Gnanapureeswarar / Idaichura Nadhar and Mother is called as Govardhanambikai / Imaya Madakkodi. This Temple is considered as one of the shrines of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams (Shiva Sthalams) glorified in the early medieval Thevaram poems. This Temple is considered as the 27th Devaram Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam in Thondai Nadu. The Temple is situated on Chengalpattu to Thiruporur route.

Temple Opening Time
The Temple remains open from 08.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
and from 04.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Festivals
Chitra Poornima during Chithirai (Apr-May), Thirukalyana
Utsavam (Wedding Festival) along with Panguni Uthiram during Panguni (Mar-Apr),
Bangle festival (Valaikappu) on Aadi Pooram during Aadi (Jul-Aug), Maha
Shivaratri during Masi (Feb-Mar) and Thai Poosam during Thai (Jan-Feb) are the
festivals celebrated here. Kiruthigai and Pradosham are also observed regularly
every month.
