Lakshmi
Narasimha Swamy Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located at
Singiri Koil in Vellore District of Tamilnadu. This Temple is believed to be
1300 years old. This Temple is situated on a small hillock on the banks of the
tiny river.
History
As per the inscriptions around the sanctum sanctorum,
this is a 1300 years old temple built during Pallava Rayar period by the King
Nandhi Varman. The 13th generation
of the Bhattar family is taking care of the temple now.

Festivals
Narasimha
Jayanthi, Vaikunda Ekadesi, Ratha Sapthami, Tamil and English New Year and
Purattasi Saturdays are celebrated at this temple. Special pooja’s performed on
every Swathi Nakshatram.

Connectivity
The
Temple is located at about 4 Kms from Kannamangalam, 9 Kms from Kaniyambadi
Railway Station, 7 Kms from Kannamangalam Railway Station, 19 Kms from Padavedu,
26 Kms from Arani, 33 Kms from Polur, 21 Kms from Vellore, 32 Kms from Arcot,
37 Kms from Ranipet, 56 Kms from Cheyyar, 79 Kms from Kanchipuram, 147 Kms from
Chennai and 138 Kms from Chennai Airport.
The
Temple is situated off the main road from Vellore to Polur Route and is about 4
Kms west of Kannamangalam. While coming from Vellore, after Vellore Govt
Medical College and Nelvoy, take a turn to the right (towards west) at a place
called Kaniyambadi. This road branches off to the left after a few Kms. There
is a small board here for the temple but you must be watchful not to miss it.
This goes through a place called Keezh Arasmapat to Singiri Koil.
