Ranganathar Temple, Erukkampet, Vellore
Ranganathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Vishnu located at Erukkampet Village near Vallimalai in Vellore District
of Tamilnadu. This is located close to Melpadi
and Vallimalai Temples on a lake bund. The Temple belongs to 9th
Century AD. The Temple is maintained
by Archeological Society of India
(ASI).

Presiding
Deity is called as Ranganathar is in Sayana posture. This is not a living
temple with regular Poojas. The excavations carried out in the temple revealed
discoveries including a broken but beautiful stone image of Bhoga Sayanamurthy
assignable to Later Chola Period.
