Kayarohaneswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Pillaiyarpalayam, a well-known locality in Kanchipuram City in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding deity is called as Kayarohaneswarar and Mother is called as Kamalambigai. This temple is considered as a Guru Parihara Sthalam. Hence, this temple is popularly known as Guru Koil / Guru Temple of Kanchipuram. This Temple is considered as one of the 108 Shiva temples mentioned in Kanchi Puranam. This Temple is considered as one of the three Kaya Rohanam Temples in Tamil Nadu.

History
The temple is believed to be around 1000 years old. The current temple complex might be built from the ruins of the ancient temple. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Religious Significance
There are three Kaya Rohanam
Temples in Tamil Nadu. Kaya Rohana refers to a branch of Saivism originated in
Gujarat. Chola Kings brought the Brahmins belonging to this sect for the cause
of Shaivism and settled them down in three places namely Kanchipuram,
