Ayyappan
Temple is a Hindu Temple located at Velachery, well-known locality of Chennai City
in Tamil Nadu. The Temple is located very close to Dandeeswarar Temple and Yoga
Narasimhar Temple. The Temple is well maintained and constructed in beautiful
Kerala style architecture. There is a tranquilizing feeling upon entering the
temple. The ambience is just right for meditation. The temple has Ayyappan and Guruvayurappan
as Moolavar (presiding deity). There are also shrines for Maha Ganapathy and
Durgai Amman in the Temple premises. This is the only temple in Chennai, which
has the Dasavatharam chiseled on the Alangara Gopuram.
