Bala Subramanyar Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan located at Alavaipatty at a distance of 12 kms North-West of Rasipuram. This is another hill temple in this region with 1500 steps spreading 2 kms distance.
Main deity is Swayambu lingam Ekambaranathar with Kamakshi Amman. Bala Subramanyar is present in a separate shrine. Siddhars are considered to worship the Lord here. Sthala Vrikshams are Ilanthai and Vilvam.
Alavaipatty is located 34 kms towards North from District headquarters Namakkal, 2 kms from Vennandur, and 340 kms from State capital Chennai. Palanthinnipatti (1 km), Semmandapatti (2 km), Vennandur (2 km), Nachipatti (4 km), Alampatti (4 km) are the nearby Villages to Alavaipatty.
Alavaipatty is surrounded by Mallasamudram Union towards west, Veerapandi and Panamarathupatti Union towards North, Namagripet Union towards East, Rasipuram Union towards South.
