Vattakottai Beach is picturesque Beach located near to Vattakottai Fort near Kanyakumari Town in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu. Vattakottai Beach offers a picturesque and attractive view of the sea and historical fort on one side, but also the beautiful hills on the other side (The Western Ghats). This beach is of black sands. Vattakkottai Beach is located at about 6 Kms from Kanyakumari Beach, 8 Kms from Kanyakumari, 7 Kms from Kanyakumari Bus Stand, 6 Kms from Kanyakumari Railway Station, 21 Kms from Nagercoil, 44 Kms from Colachel, 14 Kms from Suchindram, and 105 Kms from Thiruvananthapuram.

When you drive back from Kanyakumari, take the right road at the first "V" junction and drive about 5KM for the Vattakkottai diversion. You need to take a right turn and the fort is about 1 KM from the main road. Even here toll is collected by an old woman for Leepuram Panchayat (Rs. 15 for car). Nearest Railway Station is located at Kanyakumari and Nearest Airport is located at Thiruvananthapuram.
