Ardhanareeswarar Temple, Tiruchengode - Connectivity
This
Shivasthalam is situated 18 Kms from Erode, 32 Kms from Namakkal, 35 Kms from
Karur and 40 Kms from Salem. Bus facilities are available from Erode, Salem and
Namakkal to go to Tiruchengode. Tiruchengode is famous for handloom/power loom
textiles. It is 370 kms, away from Chennai. It is also enjoys good bus
connection to most of town and cities in Tamilnadu.
By Road:
There is
a road which connects the town and hill top temple. A 2.5 kms of road
climbs up the hill and ends in the parking lot in the hill top. The road work
started in 1984 with a budget of Rs. 60 lakhs, by the then Tamil Nadu
Government. The road was opened to public on 15th May, 1988.
The
Devasdanam started bus service to the hill top on 16th Sep, 1988. The road
offers several breathtaking views of the town and surrounding areas of the hill.
There are four Buses available daily to reach hill top from morning 7.30 A.M to
Evening 7.30 P.M.
The town
is well connected with Salem, Namakkal, Erode and Karur with frequent bus
services. Tiruchengode is well connected by state as well as private buses from
Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Mallasamudram, Sankagiri, Rasipuram, Attur,
Paramathi – Velur, Komarapalayam, Bhavani, Edappadi, Bangalore, Hyderabad etc.
By Train:
The
nearest railway station is Sankari Durg (8 km) & Erode Cauvery RS (16 km).
The nearest major Railway Junctions are Erode (23 km) and Salem (46 km).

The
