Palani Murugan Temple – Haramba Vinayagar Temple
Haramba Vinayagar Temple is located near bathing Ghats.
The main deity of this Temple is single headed Lord Ganesha. To the left side
of the main idol there is Eramba Vinayagar (five faced Panchmuka Vinayaga) with
Dakshinamoorthy to the right, facing the river.
Even though Eramba Vinayagar has 5 faces only three are
visible to the devotees and the other two faces face rear.
On the walls of Haramba Vinayagar Temple you will see
Lord Dhandayuthapani. In two hands of Eramba Vinayagar, Abaya and Varada are
seen in front and on the sides are 8 hands. Lord Dakshinamoorthy can also be
seen here, which is very beautiful. Naga sculptures are plenty in this temple.
