Thirumagaraleeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thirumagaral Village in Walajabad Taluk in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Magaraleeswarar / Udumbeeswarar / Parinthukathavar / Adaikalam Thantha Nathar / Thaduthatkondavar / Maham Vaazhvithavar / Agastheeswarar / Apathsahayar / Paarathazhumbar / Puttridangondar / Nilaiyitta Nathar / Mangalam Kaththavar and Mother is called as Bhuvana Nayagi. This Temple is considered as one of the shrines of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams (Shiva Sthalams) glorified in the early medieval Thevaram poems. This temple is considered as the 7th Devaram Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam in Thondai Nadu. The temple is situated on the northern banks of Cheyyar River

It is believed that consuming the abhisheka theertham will cure one from blood related illnesses, bone related diseases, fractures, impaired vision, stroke, paralysis etc. Devotees perform pujas here for unity among the couples, for relief from planetary inflictions and those seeking child boon do angapradakshina (rolling around the prakara). Besides, praying to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi here, would remove the ill effects of black magic, sorcery and witchcraft.

The temple is located at about 100 metres from Thirumagaral Bus Stand, 1.5 Kms from Kadambar Koil, 7 Kms from Ilayanar Velur, 15 Kms from Walajabad Railway Station, 16 Kms from Walajabad, 16 Kms from Kanchipuram, 17 Kms from Kanchipuram Railway Station, 18 Kms from Uthiramerur, 63 Kms from Chennai Airport and 81 Kms from Chennai. This temple is situated on the Uthiramerur – Kanchipuram highway. Ilayanar Velur – Kanchipuram – Perungattur bus passes through Magaral. Also buses from Kanchipuram to Uthiramerur via Orikkai passes through Magaral.
