Perumal Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu located in Meyyur Village of Tirukalukundram
Taluk near Chengalpet of Kanchipuram District. The Perumal here is very
beautiful in accordance with his name.
In olden days, this village is called as Sathyapuri. It is a great temple for
marriage prayers.
Legends
There
was a legend that god appeared in the dreams of the village elder that he was
there in the river bed. To the people surprise next day they found four
Panchaloha Idols on the river bed. Villagers took the Idols and installed in
this Temple.

Perumal graces devotees with Sridevi and Bhudevi in standing posture. Vimana of
this temple is called as Anandha Vimana. This temple follows Pancharathra
agama. Sundaravalli Thayar and Andal
grace devotees from separate shrines in the Prakaram. Minor Shrines for
Vishwaksenar, Ramanujar, Nammazhwar, Thirumangai Azhwar and Manavala Maamunigal
can be found in this Temple.
