Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram (Vaikunta Nathan Perumal Temple), Thirunangur – The Temple

Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram (Vaikunta Nathan Perumal Temple), Thirunangur – The Temple
The temple complex has a single prakaram (closed precincts of a temple). The sanctum here is believed to be on par with celestial Vaikuntam. It is located in Thirunangur, a small village, 10 km away from Sirkali en route to Thiruvenkadu. The temple tank is located to the north of the temple. The presiding deity is believed to have worshiped by sage Uthankar and King Uparisaravasar. The presiding deity, Vaikundanathar (also called Thamaraikannudiyabiran - the one with lotus eyes) in a seated posture facing east, his consort and the festival images are housed in the sanctum. The temple has only one shrine.

This is the only temple of all the Divya Desams where both the main deity and the Urchavar are both in the sitting posture. Theertham of this Temple are Lakshmi Pushkarini, Udhanga Pushkarani, and Viraja Theertham. Vimanam is Ananatha Sathya Varthaga Vimanam. Different religions may preach different paths but finally all will take to the ultimate God only. To indicate this, the Vimaanam here is Anantha Sathya Varthaka Vimaanam.
