Odhimalai Andavar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan located at Irumbarai Village near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu. This Temple is built on a hill accessed through a flight of 2000 neatly paved steps. It is believed that this hill is the highest of all Murugan Temples. Presiding Deity is called as Odhimalai Andavar. Lord Muruga graces here in standing posture with 5 faces and 8 hands. This temple is equivalent to Swamimalai.

Temple Opening Time
The temple remains open on Mondays, Fridays, Sashti and Kruthika star days from 11.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. During the Margazhi month on the Muruga specific days, the temple is open. It is advised that the devotee gets in touch with the temple priest for a visit in odd days and time.
Festivals
9-day Brahmmotsavam in Thaipoosam (January-February), Chithirai new year day (April 14 or 15) Vaikasi Visakam (May-June) Adi Perukku (August), Skanda Sashti (October-November) and Panguni Uthiram (March-April) are the festivals celebrated in the temple.
Prayers
Before undertaking any new endeavors, devotees seek the approval from Lord Muruga with two flowers choosing one to know his opinion. This is called Varam Kettal – Seeking a Boon. People also pray for knowledge, wisdom and distinction in Education. As a prayer commitment, devotees perform abishek with milk and sandal, offer vastras-clothing to the Lord. People pray to Lord Murugan for knowledge, wisdom and distinction in Education.

The Temple is located at about 4 Kms from Irumbarai, 12 Kms from Puliyampatti, 16 Kms from Annur, 24 Kms from Mettupalayam Railway Station, 25 Kms from Mettupalayam, 26 Kms from Sathyamangalam, 43 Kms from Coimbatore Airport and 47 Kms from Coimbatore. The hill temple is situated on the way between Mettupalayam and Sathyamangalam. The town bus 15 C from Mettupalayam to Puliyampatti (Punjai Puliyampatti) goes via Pethikkuttai, Rangampalayam and Shanmugapuram, the base of the hill Odhimalai. The base of the temple is 3 Kms off from Mettupalayam to Sathyamangalam Road. Nearest Railway Station is located at Mettupalayam and Nearest Airport is located at Coimbatore.
