Thirunavukkarasar Temple is a
Hindu Temple dedicated to Saint Thirunavukkarasar (Appar) located at Thiruvamur
Village near Panruti in Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu. This Temple is
considered as birth place of Nayanmar Thirunavukkarasar (Appar). His residence
has been converted to Temple.

Temple
Presiding Deity is called as
Thirunavukkarasar. He is housed in the sanctum. There is a shrine for Ganesha
on the left side of the temple. There are shrines for another Ganesha, Appar’s
Sister Thilagavathy and Appar’s Mother Mathini on right side of the Temple. Sthala
Vriksham is Tooth Brush Tree (Kalar Ugai in Tamil). This Tree is believed to be
1400 years old.
