Prithvipati Pallipadai Temple is a Hindu Temple located in Thiruppurambiyam in Kumbakonam Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. This Temple was built in remembrance of Prithvipati, a Ganga King and generals who lost their lives in historical Thirupurambiyam battle. The Temple is now known as Ayyanar Temple. The Temple is situated on the northern banks of Manniyaru River.

The Temple
The Temple is in complete ruins and only the walls of the temple remains intact. The Shiva Linga installed over the Prithvipati Hasti is lost. The Temple has two shrines namely Prithvipati Ayyanar and Vijayalaya Ayyanar connecting to its history. Hero Stones can be seen outside the temple premises. The family tree of Medieval Cholas were written in the walls of the temple.

Kumbakonam Railway Station, 28 Kms from Thiruvaiyaru, 36 Kms from Thanjavur and
85 Kms from Trichy Airport. Thirupurambiyam is situated at about 6 Kms from Puliancheri
towards Kollidam river off the Kumbakonam to Thiruvaiyaru route. Take Bus Nos 6 and 18 from Kumbakonam Bus
Stand to reach Thirupurambiyam.
