Srinivasa
Perumal Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu located at Navalpakkam Village
near Vandavasi in Thiruvannamalai District of Tamilnadu. Navalpakkam is a
small village located in Vandavasi Taluk in the Thiruvannamalai district of the Indian state of Tamilnadu known as S Navalpakkam and 'S' stands for
'Shotria'. Srinivasa Perumal Temple was established by Srinivasachariar and
subsequently developed by his son Ayya Kumara Thathachariar who is Rajaguru of
Thanjavur Nayak king.
This Srinivasa
Perumal is being managed by the shrotriumdars of Navalpakkam village. The
village is famous for Sanskrit scholars, and it is originally agraharam of the
said shrotriumdars. Shrivaishnava Brahmins originated from
this village and settled throughout the world. The annual "utsav"
(festival) for the Lord
Srinivasa is widely
celebrated.
