Chinna Pallivasal is located at Pulicat, a Chennai Suburb in Thiruvallur District of Tamilnadu. Chinna Pallivasal is also called as Al Masjid ul Muzarraf. The mosque was constructed by Mohammed bir sahib, Mohammed Ali Naina sahib and Mohammed bir Bakkir Sahib in the year 1708AD.  There is an ingenious system for washing feet here. It is an Islamic custom that anyone who enters a mosque must wash their feet first. Here, there is a large basin of water in the centre. From that there are multiple taps.




There is an old elevated tower to announce prayer calls. Before the public-address system was introduced, the muezzin (in Arabic Mu’adhdhin) who goes to the elevated level structure to call for prayers, which includes 5 times daily and Friday service. The Mosque is famous for its Century Old Sun Dial which shows accurate time. The sun dial was installed in the year 1915AD by Al haj Maulana Mohammed Sahib and Mohammed Abdullah. The Mosque conducts Arabic classes for its inmates, The Mosque conducts regular prayers. 



The Mosque is located at about 350 meters from Pazhaverkadu Bus Stop, 750 meters from Pulicat Bus Stand, 9 Kms from Thirupalaivanam, 10 Kms from Karungali, 20 Kms from Ponneri, 20 Kms from Ponneri Railway Station, 74 Kms from Thiruvallur, 70 Kms from Chennai Airport and 55 Kms from Chennai. Town buses are frequently available from Ponneri and Red Hills.
