Chidambareswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated
to Lord Shiva located at Thottikalai Village near Thiruvallur Town in
Thiruvallur District of Tamilnadu. Presiding Deity is called as Chidambareswarar
/ Thiyagesa Peruman and Mother is called as Shivakama Sundari / Shivakami.
Legends
Kalasathiyagar:
Lord Brahma worshipped Lord Shiva here to get
Amirtha Kalasam. Hence Lord Shiva is called as Thiyagesa Peruman.
Chidambareswarar:
It is believed that Lord Shiva performed his cosmic
dance similar to the dance performed in Chidambaram. Hence, Lord Shiva is
called as Chidambareswarar.

is a shrine for Vinayaga called Sengazhuneer Vinayagar in the Temple premises.
