Palani Murugan Temple – Ayyappan Temple
For the past few years the pilgrims going to Sabari
Malai for darshan of Iyyapa are increasing. This Iyyapan Koil is a sequel of
that bhakti. Though it is small it contains many images depicting the legends
of Iyyapa. With Vinayaga on the left and Balamurugan on the right, Iyyapa is in
the center and the Kumbhabhishekam was performed in 1981.
When we go round the shrine, we can see a Linga of white
marble and Vishnu. There is a Vinayaga under a papal tree with Naga stones.
There is a Navagraha dais. A compound wall encircles that shrine. The road that
passes abutting this temple goes to Kodaikanal which is 63 kms a way.
