Tiruppur
District is a district of the South Indian state Tamilnadu, formed in February 2009. The district is
well-developed and industrialized. The Tiruppur banian industry, the cotton
market, and the famous Uthukuli butter, among other things, provide for a
vibrant economy. The city of Tiruppur is the administrative headquarters for the
district.
