Kasi Viswanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Adhanakkottai Village in Pudukottai Taluk in Pudukottai District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding deity is called as Kasi Viswanathar and Mother is called as Kasi Visalakshi. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

The Temple
This temple is facing towards
east with three tiered rajagopuram. Balipeedam and Nandi can be seen
immediately after the rajagopuram. The temple consists of sanctum, ardha
mandapam and maha mandapam. Presiding deity is called as Kasi Viswanathar / Kulottungesvara and is facing east. He is housed in the sanctum in the
form of Shiva Lingam. Chandikeswarar shrine can be seen in its usual location.
Mother is called as Kasi Visalakshi. She is housed in
a separate south facing shrine. Shrines of Vinayaga, Murugan with his consorts
Valli & Devasena, Surya, Chandran, Nataraja with his consort Shivagami,
Chandrasekarar, Astradevar, Gajalakshmi and Navagrahas can be seen in the
temple premises.

The temple is located at about
9 Kms from Gandarvakkottai, 9 Kms from Gandarvakkottai Bus Stand, 26 Kms from Pudukkottai,
27 Kms from Pudukkottai Railway Station, 27 Kms from Kulathur, 37 Kms from Thanjavur
and 48 Kms from Trichy Airport. The temple is situated on the Pudukottai to
Thanjavur route.
