Ponnaniyaru Dam
Ponnaniyaru Dam is located at a distance of 24 km
from Manaparai and 9 km from Vaiyampatti. The dam is built across the Perumalmalai and Chemmalai
hills. It is an ideal tourist spot with picturesque views of nature. This dam
site is an ideal place for excursion.

a park is available in this place. This place is not quite popular among the

Hanging Bridge
This is popularly known by locals as the ‘hanging
bridge’ or ‘thongu palam’, being unsupported by piers. From the bridge, one
gets a panoramic view of trains winding between two hillocks.
A steep gradient gives the area a resemblance to railway
lines between ghats. During the monsoons, the sight of the train, water and
lush slopes of the hillock attracts tourists.
